Tokyo Edition! I still have so many images to share from Japan. Let’s get right to it.
Cat 1: Weird Stuff
How can… I… do people really try to squat on a sit-down toilet?
Not glad.
Also not glad.
I don’t know what this is about but these poor creatures are not glad either.
This guy had a crab on his back with lights inside of what looked like heat-shrunk drink bottles. I should have gotten a better angle but I already felt like I was intruding.
So uh, Rosalie? You might want to scroll quickly through this and the next image lest you be scarred for life.
Modified Hello Kitty graffiti. ( I lovvvvvvvvvve this!)
Puffy anime girls that stick out of the wall. They were advertising an app. (I should have downloaded it because I can’t remember what app it is now.) The weird thing that you’re not seeing is the crowd of GUYS standing around gawking at it. Later they came up and touched their faces. Weird.
Billboard warning against poorly applied Frida Kahlo makeup for Halloween.
Speaking of Halloween, the Japanese start celebrating Halloween on October 1st. It’s a big deal for them now. They don’t know why they’re celebrating it, they just love the season and the costumes I guess.
Boob hats at the Donki.
Huge tires for all of the off-roading in Tokyo.
Cat 2: Cool Stuff
Quite possibly my favorite piece of art in town. Roughly 30 feet tall and inflated.
Lego display on the toy floor of a multi-story department store.
I know what you’re thinking. I didn’t buy it. I’m overloaded with fans and space in my luggage is at a premium.
Statue of a guy just casually sitting atop a restaurant.
No trip to Japan is complete without him.
Decorative metal and lights outside of a bar.
Gobs of styrofoam boxes outside the Tsukiji fish market. No idea what they’re going to do with them but Japan doesn’t like throwing things away so I hope they’re going to be recycled somehow.
Giant inflated Klein Bottle. They have concerts in here.
A nice finish to some ropes hanging in front of a temple. I’m sure they have a name and I’m sure they have significance.
Cat beer given to me by Kurumi. Kurumi is a bear, for those of you who don’t know this.
Random tiled box on a shopping street. Way better then a dull grey box on any given day.
For a brief moment in time I considered mugging this guy. I’d reeeeeeeally like to have those pants.
Need some toilet paper? Ichiran ramen thinks you do.
This is the cocoon building. I love it.
This is called a slow loris. He was adorable. Don’t research too deeply into them, just enjoy this picture.
Lot of images! Hope you enjoyed!
Love
